Where did November go?

The month of November simply is going..going...gone! It seems like just last weekend we were celebrating Megan's fourth birthday. Now we are in the busy holiday season. If you want to check out a preview of our Holiday cards visit Shawna's site. We enjoyed taking photo's out at Grammy and Papa's lake spot in early October. The pictures turned out awesome and we have some great family pictures to capture the last year!

In early November, Megan and Claire had a great three day sleepover at Grammy and Papa's house. Thanks to them for keeping the girls for us so we could celebrate our 6th anniversary up on the North Shore of Lake Superior. We had a great weekend even though we were nervous that the weather was going to give us another traveling adventure but we got to enjoy two great days relaxing, eating great food, and visiting a part of the country that is so beautiful. The pictures that are posted above are from our adventure. Even though it was a bit chilly to be hiking (in my opinion) we got to see some neat waterfalls, lighthouses, and ships.

The girls are busy being preschoolers. Claire is almost into "unders" which is exciting for us to have two out of diapers. She does great during the day but night time we still have to work on staying dry. Not too bad for being just 2 1/2. She really is starting to talk up a storm. I have to laugh when I take her places with out her big sis because she seems to chatter up a storm anytime she has downtime with mom or dad. It is fun to see her perspective with things.

Megan is inpatiently waiting to move into kindergarten. I haven't had the heart to tell her that school won't happen for another 18 months. She loves to learn new things and is starting to sound out letters to figure out words. We recently had her four year check up and I was shocked to learn that she was 44 inches tall. She is great big sister but sometimes has a hard time letting Claire decide what they should play together and would rather tell Claire how to pretend different scenarios rather then let Claire add her own opinions.

We stayed in town for Thanksgiving and enjoyed seeing many local family members. Friday we put up our Christmas tree which was a fun time for all. Last but not least we will post pictures of the girls soon!
