First day of school

Mr M. started preschool this year and so far loves it.  It has been a bit of a transition for him as it is a new place for him to go everyday and new friends but he sure was excited on Monday.
He got to pick out his new backpack.  He was really excited about having a backpack.
Miss C. is in 1st grade.  She was the first kid up this morning.  She picked out her own clothes for the first day and I think she did an amazing job. She also is quite proud of her new backpack.

Miss M. is in 2nd grade.  She is excited to start and has been waiting to wear the new clothes for a week which as she says, "the hardest thing to wait to wear new clothes."  Definitely a fashion-nista in the making.
The classic sisters pose.  Miss C is catching up to Miss M height-wise.

Mr M. insisted in being in pictures this morning.  He was being a goof ball as  you can see.

January-February

Well, 2012 came to quick.  The Mulberry 3 are excited for 2012 as they hope that it will be a fun, family-filled year.  We have been keeping busy.  Miss M is competitively swimming.  She has done great this short course season and is consistently swimming 6 events every meet. Her favorite stroke is breast stroke. She has had 4 meets this year.  One maybe two is left and then she will get a break for a couple months.

Miss M & C have been also doing basketball.  Claire has completed two sessions of basketball.  They finished up today.  I don't have any pictures on my camera but they always come home smiling.  Basketball will start again in March.  The girls also ventured out and tried ice-skating last weekend and we hope to do some more skating before the rinks close in the spring.

Last but not least, Mr M celebrated his birthday (several times).  He had a great birthday and this year he really enjoyed opening gifts and cake.  He tried to convince us that his birthday needed a cake everyday but he was able to enjoy 2 cakes this year...

Here are some pictures from the last couple of months.  I hope that you enjoy.

December

Well it is December.  Things have been busy with the Mulberry Three.  Miss M is busy with swimming and has competed in her first swim meet.  She raced in 5 individual events and a relay.  She had great fun and an added bonus was getting ribbons in all of the events in which she competed.  This weekend she will have her next swim meet and is racing in 5 individual events and 2 relays.  Miss C is loving life.  She really has grown into her own little lady.  She finished her first few weeks of basketball and her and Miss M are playing floor hockey. Miss C will go back to basketball in January.  Mr M is a busy boy.  Anything that is wild and crazy is his game.  The kids decorated the tree this weekend for Christmas and all had a great time.

Here are 2 pics from the last couple of weeks.

Last year, both the girls, M and C, got cameras for Christmas.  Here are some pictures they have taken from the past 9+ months on their cameras.

August

August has gone be WAY to fast.  Overall the kiddos have had a great summer.  Lots of playing and growing up.  I think both of the girls have grown several inches over the summer.  It seems like every time I have time to reflect on the changes they have added another 1/2 inch or so.

A week or so ago Grandpa J came to stay for two nights.  It was great to have him stay with us. We got to eat some pizza at one of his favorites in town and the kids loved spending time with him.  Grandpa brought his buddy Hunter (his wirehair pointer) with him on this trip.  The kids have not been around many dogs but before we knew it M and M wanted to hang out with the dog the whole time.  Miss C it took a while longer....alot longer but before we knew it she was wanting to take Hunter for a walk as much as possible.  Here is a picture of her with Hunter.

Yesterday was a big day on Mulberry.  We now have two kids in elementary school.  Miss M was ready for the big 1st grade and was up and dressed before 6:30.  A little early for our house but she is always excited for all new adventures. On a side note, she has had her outfit picked out for weeks and was ready to dazzle. Miss C was excited but nervous for her first day.  She did make it out of the house without any delays and by the end of the day she was ready to go back for the next day of school.  Here are some snapshots.
